How to disable power button ? HELP!!!

[Android Central Question]

i am using xiaomi redmi note 7 and my power button is not working fine. Whenever i kind of touch it , it starts working randomly. it turn my phone off or it brings camera.
now i want to disable it temporarily to use the phone atleast.
is there any way ?

Welcome to Android Central! Disabling the Power button would be unwise, because then there'd be no way to power it on. Try cleaning the button with rubbing alcohol (i.e., swab the crevice around the button to get the alcohol in there, in case there's some residue that's causing the button to stick. If that doesn't help, then take the phone to a repair shop.
