How to disable stickers in factory calendar app ( S7 with new update )

I am trying to get rid of the stickers on the calendar as the phone goes off in the morning whenever there is a "sticker" activity planned for the day, even with notifications OFF. If I dont choose a specific sticker it's a generic smiley on a post it and it still goes off. Please help.
