Question How to disable voice alert on Android 5.1?

I have an old phone moto-g (Android 5.1) that I use exclusively for Google Translate. (I like the way it works better than my new phone).

The only problem is when the app locks while the app is active, it has a voice alert that keeps saying "unlock the phone to continue using Google Translate".

Is there a setting to disable that stupid alert without turning down my speaker volume?

Welcome to Android Central! It's tricky to advise on a phone that's so old, since I don't have anything near that version to test -- but have you checked the system settings for a way to keep the phone unlocked at all times? In other words, turn off the lock screen function completely.
