Hi folks, I am new here and pretty new to Android I have purchased a Chinese made (arent they all) Tablet, A AMPE A10QC running JB 4.1.2.
I have been trying to connect to my wireless router which does NOT have WPS but the tablet seems to connect either using a pasword or on an open system with no security, well it indicates that the wireless connection has been saved). BUT the tablet will not connect to the net and requires the WPS button on the modem to be pushed.
Is there any way to disable WPS in JB 4.1.2 on my tablet. It is insecure anyway so why use it.
I know a lot of people say buy a router with WPS but that is fine if I am home but if I visit somewhere that doest have WPS I am buggered again. Surely there is a way to just disable it and save all these hastles.
I have a 4.2.1 phone and that has no trouble with WiFi connection.
Hopefully someone in here knows how to achieve this
