Before the recent "upgrade" my phone would show the time, date and other information on the screen when the phone was not otherwise being used. I like this feature. I don't know why it went away.

Is there a way to make that work again?

It sound like you're talking about the Always on Display. Go to Setting, Lock Screen, and scroll down to Always On Display, and turn it back on. Hope this helps!!

It is on. You're right, though. That seems to be what I want. It's just not working.

It's now tap to show by default on Pie but you can change it in AOD settings to always show.

This is the answer, but the option is kind of buried...

Go to "Settings" > "Lock screen" > "Always On Display" tap the label, not the switch (unless you need to turn it "on" first) > scroll down to "Display mode" > select your option.

"Tap to Show" is the new default. "Show Always" is what you want. "Show as scheduled" is just another option - set it for certain times, like only at night maybe.

That did it. Thanks everyone!

Evidently, the settings were changed with the upgrade was installed.
