How to do ota update on Samsung galaxy s3?

Hello wanted to know if there is any one who knows how to do a ota update. I tried doing the one that uses the triangle away method but when it starts doing the up date it stopped and says error on it can anyone please help. My carrier is cricket wireless.

I take it you are rooted? If so, any rooting procedures stop any OTA updates from happening. In order to get an OTA, you need to either fully unroot, or if there is a temporary unroot option, see if that will work.

To get OTA updates you must have the Stock Recovery, not CWM or TWRP. If either of these are on the phone it will not update.

Do you know where to get stock recovery from?

Once you've loaded CWM or TWRP I don't think you can go back to the stock recovery, without actually flashing the stock ROM. I've been wrong before, so hopefully a more knowledgeable person will provide some insight.
It would be much simpler to just flash the current ROM, already rooted, for your Cricket version of the phone.
