How to enable hyperlinks in Android Central notification emails in Pixel Gmail

Probably in the wrong forum but suddenly the gmail app isn't enabling hyperlinks in the Android Central notification emails. Its been working fine in the N7 and earlier devices. Its just showing the link but it can't be selected.

I've rebooted, cleared the cache and data, updated the app, reinstalled the OS etc, etc but nothing seems to work. Other email hyperlinks appear to be working. Is there a security feather in Nougat blocking the links? Thanks in advance.

What is the hyperlink for, a forum thread? Does it look blue, like a real hyperlink, or is it the same color as the other text?

It's the same color as other text, not blue so it can't be clicked.

Is it coming to an actual Gmail account, or some other email provider account that has been added to your Gmail app? I seem to recall that this might happen with the latter.

Its another email provider's account that has been added to the gmail app.

It's not a work account and the links show up on every other device I have.

Hmm, not sure what else to try here. The links show up in the Gmail app on every other device?

They did on the n7 and 7e. Appreciate the help.
