My Network mode has 3 options: GSM only, WCDMA only, and AUTO mode (LTE/GSM/WCDMA). Is there a way for me to choose an LTE only network mode?

I don't believe there is an option within Android OS itself, but there maybe a way thru your phone's dialer pad " entering the programming mode " and selecting LTE only.

I'm sure the reason you won't find a LTE only mode within Android is simply so the device has 3g service to fall back on if LTE connection is lost.

Why, phone defaults to best under auto.

That would be like having cabpe and dsl hooked up and turning dsl off. Now what happens if I cut ur cable line. Ohh no u have no data.

Exactly. If there was no LTE and it was set to only LTE you would lose connection.

However turning off lte in a fringe area wilp save battery. That is useful.

No way to set to LTE only. Otherwise, you would have connections cutting off many times because LTE is not fully covered.
