How to enable USB debugging when it is greyed out?

[Android Central Question]

I have an LG G3 and lost some videos on it and while in the proccess of retrieving them, it asked for me to enable USB debugging. I already somehow had developer options unlocked but the option was still blocked out. I have tried to clear my settings data to restart but it won't let me erase that and I have no clue what to do. I need to get those videos back haha so any help is appreciated xx

Usb debugging usualy greys out when your device is connected via usb. Try unplugging it first
