Android Central Question

So this is different from the other questions I've found online because of the following:

I can successfully connect both audio (music) and calls to my car, but after about 3-5 secs of both being connected, the calls part disconnects. I can manually connect it again by going to my car's settings and clicking "calls", but this is a bit inconvenient as I want all of it to connect straight away and stay connected. And if I'm driving it's not safe, especially when I forget to turn it on and I have to answer a call directly via my phone.

I didn't have this issue before when I had an iPhone (same car), so I thought it must be an android / samsung / my specific phone (which is a Galaxy Z fold 3) issue. Is there anything I can do about this or will I have to keep manually connecting it?

I've tried all the troubleshooting ideas I could think of:

- Disconnecting then reconnecting

- Fully "forgetting" both the car and the phone from each other then reconnecting them

- Restarting my phone then trying again

- Changing the settings to "connect from device" (via the car). But this just didn't let me connect the phone at all.

If it's important, my car is a Toyota Aygo X-Play VVT-I (made in 2018).

Thanks :)

Welcome to Android Central! Could there be some other Bluetooth device in the car that's competing for the connection, like earbuds or a watch?
