Hi guys,
So I guess that I made a mistake setting up my email. When I send email, the from and reply-to address fields are wrong. The account is an IMAP. I set it up by manually entering the server settings.
Let's say that the basic email address is:
tomk@foo.com
and the alias is
tom.kramer@foo.com
and the user name to authenticate on both the IMAP and SMTP server is:
tomk
Now when I set up this email, I believe that I made a mistake because when I send an email the headers look like the following:
From: John Kramer <tomkr@foo.com>
Reply-To: John Kramer <tomkr@foo.com>
(the mistake login was a prior login)
When I go into email settings, the account tom.kramer@foo.com is an option, so I select it. Then when it is selected, the account name at the top is tomkr@foo.com (how to change this?).
In the account name field, I see tom.kramer@foo.com. The user name on the incoming and outgoing settings dialogs is correct (tomk).
What's going on here?
Any help?
Thanks!
