How to fix "There was a problem connecting to accounts.google.com"?

[Android Central Question]

Due to issues with Gmail and other Apps, I.e. I esa unable yo Access Google Play and even You Tube in my Samsung8 I removed my Google acccount and tries to add it again. But I get the above message.
I turned off and on the device several times and also adjusted the time to automatic.
This happened after I came back from an international trip where roaming was activated
