how to free up memory space

Just got my Amaze 4g a couple of days ago and i would say that it's a great phone. it's my first android phone so everything is kinda overwhelming to me. terms, apps, etc. i noticed that the RAM on my phone is running at around 50%. is this normal? how do you free up memory space? and is there any way to remove those apps that came with the phone without rooting?

You don't need to do anything to kill apps or free up RAM. Android is quite skilled at doing it for you.
