I am trying to get my google photos and/or google drive photos to show up in my stock gallery app like it used to with Picasa.... I dont see the options anymore?

Hi there, unfortunately that was a feature that was built into the manufacturer's OS, it's not a stock Android option. And for some reason, that was removed from newer Samsung devices (older ones did have access to cloud services like Photos).

Now, in order to see the pictures in your cloud, you have to use the Photos app or a 3rd party app that allows access to Photos. You can also 'link' your Photos and Drive accounts so that a Photos folder appears automatically in Drive and then see those images through the phone's file manager or a 3rd party app that allows cloud storage connections to Drive (way more common than connection to Photos).

You can only do that if you use the Google Drive app to sync the camera folder, but it'll get uploaded to a Camera folder, not a 'specific' one. For that you'd need to use a 3rd party app that allows custom back ups (or automation apps like Tasker that can move the backed up files from one folder to another in Drive). Just bear in mind that backing up folders and files directly to Drive counts towards your storage quota as you'll be doing a full-file backup.

Damn. I forgot the name. I used to use an app that watches my folders as I arrange them and syncs it to my cloud accounts. I'll get back when I find it.
