Android Central Question

Hi,

I would like to be able to store and listen to music offline without having to pay for a monthly subscription (I have no problem with paying for the download).

My ideal:

1) Hear some good music (on the radio, at someone's house, etc), recognise it with something like TrackId or Shazam.

2) Press a button to buy and download the album/track.

3) Listen to my music whenever I want, on any device without having to pay every month for ever.

Is this possible? I've tried searching the forums but all the results I get are either 'how to use Spotify Premium' or 'how to download things for free'

Thanks,

Tim

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but you don't need a Google Play Music subscription to listen to music you've uploaded to the service.

@Ry is correct, there is no need for a subscription to GPM to download tracks from your account that you have uploaded, in order to listen to them offline. You can also buy the track from GPM and then download the track to your phone for offline listening (still with no subscription needed).
