How to get music to play thru the USB into my Terrain?

When I plug my USB cord into my 2012 Terrain, it plays "Over the Horizon" , and I can figure out how to get music to either A, play from a specific App using my SanDisc. I just sat in the car for 30 minutes trying each program to find out where this tune is playing from but was unable.

So I guess I wonder what is the default music output source to the USB?

I'm pretty sure its the Terrain software is incompatible, if thats the case I should find something out from the GM Forum.
