How to get Package Disabler running on my Note 8?

Yep, I get that.

I have just always found that Package Disabler does more bad than good.

With my Note 4 I used it for a long time and used to wonder why the phone heated up so much, then I eventually deleted Package Disabler and the phone was back to running well with great battery life.

With my S7 Edge, it seemed to make things unstable.

I just use the built-in App Manager to Disable stuff now.
