I apologize for the n00bish question, but I can't find the option in settings. What am I doing wrong guys? :p

Bump.

I was able to browse my files on my GNexus on my PC, but I can't even find the storage drive when I connect my GN3.

Do you get a notification on the phone when you connect it?

The setting should come up on the phone to use it in MTP or PTP.

I believe I did, but it only popped up once. I tried hunting through the settings to see which option I selected but I can't find it.

Restart computer or try a different USB port. Thought it was something like USB debugging or something?

USB Debugging is unrelated to USB storage.

Is your screen on and unlocked while you're trying to access the phone via USB?

Does the notification show up that says connected as an installer? If so, select that notification and check the box next to connect as media device (MTP).

It should be backwards compatible with USB 2.0 cables. It could be a driver or cable issue. Can you try with a different cable and a different computer as well?

I looked for Note 3 drivers on Samsung's site with no luck. But their Kies desktop sync software might do the trick - SAMSUNG KIES

Yep, I just use Kies for file transfers, works with arbitrary files as well, not just media as in MTP. Just download Kies version 3.
