How to get phone to talk to me

When I use voice dialer, I would like to have the phone ask me who i want to call like my husband's HTC Mytouch does. It will prompt on the screen and I have to click on the button, but while driving it would be nice to be able to hear, "call home".

Is there a way to do this on the LG?

You mean to change the default settings? Is that even possible. I don't know much about modifying phones, but I'm not sure if even rooting the phone would make that possible.

i know that if you go to settings and then acessability you can enable talk back and it tells you what ever you press so maybe that would do it if you don't care if your phone narrates whatever you do on it

Interesting that you would mention that because my son's phone announces incoming text message and who they are from and mine doesn't. I can't figure out how to set it up to do that. Will have to compare his to mine when he gets back from college.

If you want the voice command you're talking about and the ability to hear and respond to text messages try downloading Motospeak2.0 from the market. There are a few BT options that will run it. The Finiti and Roadster being a few. I have a Finiti running it and don't ever have to look at my phone at all while in the car for either phone calls or texts.
