How to get rid of the Lock Screen?

It used to be that you didn't have to have a lock screen. In other words, when you woke up the device from a black screen, you went directly to the home page or whatever app you had running. In the last week or two I've noticed that now when I wake up the device it goes to a lock screen which requires a swipe to get rid of.

I've reviewed the lock screen settings, and the least secure now says swipe. I think there used to be an option that said NONE.

Anybody know how to get rid of the lock screen? This may have happened when Lollipop went on, but I think it was only a week or two ago.

I am unable to tell you, but on my tab-s under Lock screen > Select screen lock it has Swipe, Pattern, Pin, Password, Fingerprint and None. Have you installed any new apps that might of changed the settings. I don't think it is Lollipop, because that is what I am running, but I may be wrong.

Thanks for the reply. You have nailed the issue. Under Lock Screen I then have Screen Lock and that has Swipe, Pattern, Pin, Password, Fingerprint. The NONE option has disappeared. I am on 5.02

I am running 5.0.2 also, but I am rooted, which I do not think would make a difference. Are you in the US or abroad? If not in the US, that may have something to do with it. Different countries may of have tweaked Lollipop a little bit, Also do you have the WI-Fi or LTE version. Again the difference between the two & the Lollipop update might be it. I just trying to think of the reason why you have None on your Lock Screen.

Thank you for your reply. I am in the US, on AT&T with the 4G model. The problem is that the "NONE" option has disappeared. It used to be there.

Tasker can set it to None, if it's worth the $3 to you to actually be in control of your phone. (It can do a LOT more than just turn off the lock screen. It can turn it back on when you lose your home wifi signal, turn it off when you get it back, and that's a fraction of a percent of what Tasker can do.)
