How to get seperate entry notifications on the lock screen

[AC Question]

So I've just transitioned from iOS to Android (great move), and there's one thing that keeps bothering me. On iOS, each of your notifications appears as a seperate alert on the lock screen and in notifications centre. On Android however, you get one notification with a number telling you how many sub-notifications you have (yes I made that word up). I'm sure there is a way to get seperate ones, but after a bit of digging i couldn't work out how.

Welcome to the forums. Which phone do you have? Different OEMs can handle the lock screen notifications in different ways.

Maybe I'm wrong (and I'm sure someone will tell you differently) but I don't think you get separate notifications on the lock screen.

The Nexus 5X kind of bundles them together by app. So of you had 5 WhatsApp messages I'm sure they would be bundled together until you unlock the lock screen and go to the notification tray where you can see separate ones.

Nexus 5X is the business!
