I can do this manually and in fact have set it to use one of my PDF viewers to do automatically but only when I manually select the file from my ES file explorer. Where it's not doing this is when a browser(chrome or Firefox) downloads this file then the system offers to open it right then and there which would be great saving me the time to taken to switch the file explorer, find file then open, but it only offers a bunch of apps not designed to open this type of file. Anyone know? Thanks

We probably need to be clear about what you mean by "open" regarding this Microsoft server file.
Are we talking about "open for edit" or "open for execution like an HTML file" ?

Thanks. Um... as far as I know just open to open. And actually I need to correct myself, just Firefox cuz actually chrome won't successfully download it, hence my use of Firefox actually. So maybe I should have posted this in a Mozilla forum or something. But I'm not sure what app is attempting to open it. I'll look into that...

There is something weird going on there.
Whatever is being downloaded is not being marked as HTML, so the browser thinks it is a file to download and have another app view it, like maybe a spreadsheet.

If that is not the case, the server is probably having troubles.
