[How To] Google Voice for voicemail on Sprint

Yes. It beeps the dial tone three times, like it's flashing lines, and then hangs up the call. No message, error or otherwise.

That's what it's supposed to do. I'm currently using a Palm Pre (so forgive me if I'm out of line on providing tips for an Evo I don't even have yet haha) and I've been using Google Voice for my voicemails since I've had a GV account. When you dial the number and press send, it's supposed to beep three times and then hang up. That's the confirmation informing you that the changes are active. If it isn't activating correctly, you actually will get an error message.

...at least was the case with my Pre when I activated Google Voicemail on it.

Then there's some other issue it doesn't feel the need to tell me about, because it's not working.

Ya, I just tried to setup google voice on my droid phone and the *28 does not work saying this feature does not work at this time or something =[

Does any one know if you will be able to keep your current google voice number and still continue to use it to text/call as well as use a current sprint number for texting and calling with google voice?

Will they have an integrated inbox that has texts from both numbers? Will you be able to choose what number you send it from?

Thanks.
