Android Central Question

I have an app on my phone that acts as a vault for private information. It is perfectly invisible on my phone until you enter the play store then it's obvious that I have an app installed on my phone.
How do you by pass the app store or hide from the app store but keep it on my phone? I've tried downloading .apk but that doesn't work. Thank you!

Modules installed in Magisk only show in Magisk, not in the app drawer. (And of course no app, installed from Play or installed in Magisk, shows in a Linux terminal, only Android shows as a running program. And only under its pid, not its name.)

Not sure if this is regards to my post or not, if not I apologize but what I was referring to was not magisk modules. I was referring to dis-associating or hiding playstore installed apps from playstore eg: titanium backup. There are also a few others on playstore as well that do a similar function. These apps generally require root access.

Use vmos and install vault app on vmos will not visible in gplay. It's easier than rooting phone and mostly people don't know what vmos app is, so it can prevent from opening vmos (or you also can hide it from app drawer). Hope this will help you

If you don't want another person to see installed apps from within the Play Store, then install something like Norton App Lock (free) and put the Play store in the list. No one will be able to open the Play store without the passcode. As many as you wish to the list. It can be temporarily disabled, and quickly reenabled so that your apps stay locked when your phone isn't in your hand.

Won't help if the Play store is open and being browse at the time a phone is removed from her hand. Personal handguns are great deterrents for that sort of thing, though.
