How to I add and attachment to my message

I have a Galaxy S9+ and I can't find a way to add an attachment and I also cannot find copy, cut, paste features

What are you using to send the message? Stock e-mail app? GMail? Text app?

As for Copy/Paste features, those will pop-up when you tap and hold over text (select text) or, if there's text copied into the clipboard, then long-pressing a text field will pop up the PASTE function (as long as the app or site hasn't blocked copy/paste functions in that text field. Some sites do that for passwords or logins).
