how to import my photos from camera to toshiba tablet?

IHave the adapted cables and plugs, however ,. There is no transfer of pictures......how to import into Picasa on this tablet?

Are the photos on the camera on an SD card? If so, can you just put that card into the tablet?

Or you could always plug the camera into a PC VIA USB, transfer them, then plug your tablet into a PC VIA USB and transfer them to the tablet.
