Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus

Hi all,

Please advise how to install and uninstall .apk file ?

The .apk file is on a link and clicking the link it will be download. On which folder it will be download/stored?

Thanks in advance.

Regards

Your downloads go to your downloads folder... Sounds sarcastic but for once it's not.

With no offence intended, I'm not sure it's a good idea for someone who lacks the technical knowledge to find the downloads folder to be playing with APKs... You're gonna get malwared hard.

As long as you use a reputable site like APK mirror and to uninstall just go to that app in your app list in settings >apps and uninstall

Hi,

Finally I found it on searching. Thanks. It is DJI Mimo .apk

Clicking it started installation but I couldn't install it -> App not installed.

I tried several times. Deleted it and re-download it 3 times. It is still the same.

Regards
If u have a current version of it already installed then uninstall it then try this version

Hi,

I have the version, DJI Mimo App, download on Play Store. But it couldn't work on Galaxy 9 Plus. I have uninstall it already. Galaxy S9 Plus is on the compatibity List of DJI OSMO Mobile 3 Mobile Phone. DJI sent me a link, requesting me to download and install the latest version of DJI Mimo. That is whole story.

I have informed them via DJI Support Forum. I'm now waiting for their reply

Regards

Hi,

I have 2 gimbals;
Zhiyun Smooth-Q (software ZY Play)
DJI OSMO Mobile 3 (software DJI OSMO Mimo App)

I have 3 mobile phones
Samsung Galaxy S6
Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

A) Zhiyun Smooth-Q
It only works on Galaxy S9 Plus. Previously it also worked on Galaxy S6 but now it has problem shooting photo, with warning to upgrade firmware version 1.60.

I contacted Zhiyun Support on email asking them;
1. What will be the solution making Zhiyun Smooth-Q to work on Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S22 Ultra?
2. Whether needing to upgrade firmware ?
3. What will be the steps to upgrade Zhiyum Gimbal firmware on computers. I have both Windows and Linux computers here and can work on both Windows and Linux Operating Systems

Reply from Zhiyun Support to above questions;
1. Zhiyun Smooth-Q can't work on Galaxy S22 Ultra
2. Firmware version 1.60 is the latest version
3. No reply from Zhiyun Support

B) DJI OSMO Mobile 3
It only works on Galaxy S6
I contacted DJI Support Forum asking them how to make DJI OSMO Mobile 3 working on Galaxy S9 Plus and Galaxy S22 Ultra?

Reply from DJI Support Forum
1. Asked me to upgrade DJI Mimo(software) to the latest version
2. They sent an URL to download the latest version

But I can't install the aforesaid latest version on both Galaxy S9 Plus and Galaxy S22 Ultra.

I told DJI Support on the Forum. But up to now I haven't received a reply. Besides I found several threads on Internet, complaining DJI OSMO Mobile 3 unable to work on Galaxy S22 Ultra.

I have lost confidence on gimbal, why spending money for suffering?

I'll go back to the traditional way;
1. Mounting the mobile phone on an extension rod
2. Operating the camera functions by touching the icons on the screen of the mobile phone with finger.

The only inconveniece is some function icons being samll to recognise.

Regards

Might be silly question but do you have install from unknown sources enabled?

The software, OSMO Mimo, was download on the link(URL) supplied by the Administrator of DJI Support Forum. I have notified them on the Forum the problem encountered by me twice but they did not reply me.

Later on Internet searching, I found links complaining DJI OSMO Mobile 3 unable to work on Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. I can post the link here if allowed. It happened more than one year ago. Also I can post the link of my postings on DJI Support Forum, including their replies.

Regards

Hi all,

Further to my posting above, 3 weeks ago I made following test;

Remote Desktop

Hardware and software configuration as below;

Galaxy S9 Plus (Android Phone-1) as camera mounted at the end of an extension rod
running Teamviewer Quickconnect App

Galaxy S6 (Android Phone-2) as Remote Controller mounted at the handle of the extension rod
running Teamviewer Remote Control
to remote control the camera

Both Phone-1 and Phone-2 above are without SIM card installed, unable to connect Internet

Galaxy S22 Ultra (Android Phone-3) with SIM card installed, able to connect Internet.
enable Hotspot Tethering to share network to Phone-1 and Phone-2 above, enabling them to access Internet.

The system works seamlessly. All functions of the camera can be remotely operated on the screen of the Remote Controller (Phone-2). Besides Phone-1 can also be remotely operated on the screen of Phone-2

Tilting and rotating the camera (phone-1) is controlled by hand.

Please click following link to see the setup of the system on Dropbox;

I'll stop using Gimbal until the funny requirement -> compatibility solved.

To buy a new mobile phone for using the Gimbal ?

OR

To buy a new Gimbal to use it on your mobile phone ?

Regards

Remark:
You can replace phone-2 with phone-3, if you don't use phone-3 for communication. Only 2 phones are used for the complete setup.
