How to install APK file from computer to smartphone

I have a so called APK file on my computer and I want to install this application on my smartphone Galaxy 4S.

Can anybody tell me how to do it ?

Enable "unknown sources" in the security section of Settings. Copy the APK to the device (Google Drive, BT transfer, USB connected to your computer) then using a file manager (ES File Explorer, Astro or some other) tap the APK to install it.

ALWAYS be careful about where you get these from. If it's a for-pay app and you got it from someplace other than Amazon or Google, it could be infected.

Also u can use Pushbullet or AirDroid to send APK over WiFi

Easiest way: Dropbox.
If you have it on your device, simply put your apk into one of your dropbox folders. Open it on your phone and simply click on the apk. Of course you have to do the configuration hallux mentioned before that.
