Hi Everyone,

[Video]As the title says this will do the trick, I've got it running on my rooted Android Revolution HD ROM and it works like a charm. Now if only Verizon would stop being a ****** so we didn't have to trick the system.

Steps:

1. From your phone open the browser and head to http://market.android.com.
2. Search for “Google Wallet.”

*If your browser prompts you to open the Market, don’t. Just stay in the browser.

3. When the results come back, tap on the Google Wallet icon.
4. Tap the “Install” button from within the browser and then sign into your Google account.

*Again, this is all from the browser, not the Market app.

5. Once you have signed in, you should be redirected back to the Market page in the browser.
6. Obviously, you will not have the option to install there since the VZW Nexus is not supported.
7. Tap the back button until you are prompted for the Market or Browser again, this time choosing the Market.
8. The Android Market should open to the Google Wallet page with an option to install.

For some reason I was unable to install while following those instructions.

I noticed that I did not have to manually sign in to my Google Account as in the video; evidently my browser is signing me in automatically. After I signed in, the back button didn't bring up the prompt.

So after trying it several times, I tried it once more EXCEPT....

I chose Clear Data under Settings> Apps> Browser and Market... (Not sure if I had to, but I was getting frustrated at this point)

Then I followed the instructions with the exception below.

After I signed in to my account, on the SECOND Browser/Market prompt I chose Market. This brought up the Market where I had to agree to the terms and conditions, then it went right to the Google Wallet download page. "This app is not supported by your carrier" was at the top, and immediately below that was the progress bar. :D I'm now looking the Google Wallet setup screen.

Ya if previously you had set the browser as the default you would have had to clear that out. Glad you got it working! It's nice having the official :)

I can't wait to freak out the cashier at Whataburger out now. ;)

I just wish I could hook my debit card to this thing. I'm usually browsing on my phone while I'm waiting in line anyway.

Easiest way is to link your market CC to your gw. But unfortunately my rom doesn't allow it.

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Xparent Cyan Tapatalk

Not working for me. I have tried it several times with 2 different browsers, tried signing out, clearing settings and still nothing.

**well I opened the browser again and the page was blank with a small go back to click and I hit the back button instead and it brought up the option to use the market and it updated the app this time around.

Try clearing your market default settings as well as the browser. That may fix the issue.

I had previously sideloaded 1.1-r47v1. I updated last night through the market and now have 1.1-r48v4 and it appears in 'My Apps' in the market.

Edit: On second thought, the r47 build would have been packaged with my ROM. I did sideload a version early on, and I believe it was r41.

For me I had to do the following steps:

Before I started, I had to clear all data from my browser:

Steps:

1. From your phone open the browser and head to http://market.android.com.
2. Search for ?Google Wallet.?

*If your browser prompts you to open the Market, don?t. Just stay in the browser.

3. When the results come back, tap on the Google Wallet icon.
4. Tap the ?Install? button from within the browser and then sign into your Google account.
5. Open with Market and not Browser (This took a few tries, but eventually worked)

The only problem I have now is I cant add funds to the prepaid card. The $20.00 I tried to add was taken out of my account, but not added to my card. :(

Cleared my browser cache, followed the given instructions, long form, signed in manually, and it worked like a charm. Totally stock GNex, not rooted, ROMed, etc.

I got it to work on both my phone and my wife's phone, used it to pay for Pollo Tropical last night!!! so easy

I click install and nothing happens, nothing loads up or asks for login or to chose browser/market

Loading the app worked - but the more important question is has anyone who's loaded this onto the Nexus now used it for a payment. I don't know if there's any chance the transaction may be blocked or filtered, so just asking.
