How to keep app open?

Whenever I lock my s20 the app does not resume where I stop. The phone takes me back to the home screen?

Welcome to Android Central! Are you actually exiting the app before the phone locks, or is the app still in the foreground when the phone locks? If the latter, then check the Battery Optimization setting for that app in the system settings and make sure optimization is turned off.

Hi, welcome !

Which app is this ? Maybe try make it a shortcut on the lick screen that way you press it and unlock it goes straight to it .

Did you see my post? Are you saying that you aren't exiting the app before the phone locks, and that you turned off Battery Optimization for the app in question?

Do you have battery saving mode activated? If so, try disabling that. Set to optimized

See if it also happens in Safe Mode: https://www.t-mobile.com/support/de...ltra-5g/safe-mode-samsung-galaxy-s20-ultra-5g. You'll only be able to test preinstalled apps in Safe Mode.

Also, any Developer Options turned on?

It stop doing it when in safe mode and the image attached are the only developer options open.

Yes it been happening for a two week now? How do you change the background processes?
