How to keep lg v20 icons from reverting after changing them?

I tried using the cocoppa app from the Google play store to change my icons on my LG v20 phone. It worked, but after a while I notice that the icons would return to their original forms. I've always used cocoppa with other phones I've owned to change icons and never encountered this issue. Can someone please tell me if there's a way to fix it? Thanks!

An update o the app could include the icon, changing it. And the only way to "fix" that would be to turn off app updating - which is a bad idea.
