I have an Android S22. Yesterday Google Calendar wanted to update but it kept on giving me an error said it "can't update". I tried clearing the Google calendar cache and repowering the phone this did not help so I deleted the app and tried to install it again. Now Google Calendar will not install, it shows that it's installing sometimes it gets to 100% and then just kicks out. I tried clearing Google cache and play store cache & data no luck. My phone software is up to date, I have plenty of storage and I a have strong internet connection, I have Google Calendar on my Chromebook and it seems to be up to date and works fine . I'm stumped.

I haven't seen that issue (yet) for Google Calendar on my devices, but I did notice that the Google Opinion Rewards apps is having trouble updating, so I wonder if it's a similar issue.

Send an email to apps-help@google.com (which is the support email mentioned on the Google Play Store page for Google Calendar).

Well I went to my old Galaxy S9 and deleted and re-installed the google calendar app and all went fine. Then I went back to the S22 and tried to install the google calendar app again, boom it installed fine, all back to normal. Not sure what was going on, perhaps google calendar app had issues for a while and they fixed it.

That's good to hear. Probably a temporary bug with the update they put up on the Play Store.

When that happens in the future try clearing Google Play store cache and force stop it or try just WiFi or just Data.

Moved this to our s22 forums

I just noticed that Google Opinion Rewards finally updated successfully on my devices, so maybe there was a small bug affecting certain Google app updates on some devices.
