Warning: People with a sense of humor only, this isnt actually serious, but i want to see who will actually try it
So I have decided to create this guide, to keep your phone working* in these anti-phone cold temperatures** (Motorola Specifies anything below 0 Celcius or 32 F is bad). This guide includes things for root users, non-root users, and just general things. So lets begin with general things:

-BUY A CASE!!!! It already increases phone survival just by using one. I recommend the TPU cases($5-15) or if your really into it then buy an Otterbox Commuter or Defender case ($25-50).
-Don't leave it outside.
-Dont use it in the snow (no brainer)
[WARNING: ALL OF THE FOLLOWING KEEP YOUR PHONE WARM BY MAKING THE BATTERY WARM, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK(their isnt a real risk)]

Non-root users (everything here root users can do also)

-Don't use task killers. The AC crew has already said that they're bad for your phone.
-(pertains to above reason) Run things in the background, sync gmail, stream pandora, anything that will keep your CPU running.
-Turn the brightness up (THIS WILL CAUSE YOU TO LOOSE BATTERY QUICKLY)

Root Users (most of these kill battery)
-Use SetCPU, make a profile to keep it at max speed
-OVERCLOCK IT! Overclocking is fairly easy (Thanks jRummy!) and you can raise your voltage up higher.
-Use a more graphically intense theme, this can make your phone use a bit more power but not slow you down (928Droids black glass is a great looking theme and without OC I get almost 15 linpacks)

and last but not least:

USE YOUR PHONE!!!!!!!

*this guide probaly will not help you, because who uses their phone outside for that long?
**I live in NY, and DANG ITS COLD

I just put mine in the microwave for a few before I go out...

Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk

I just put mine in the engine compartment of my truck and use bluetooth while driveing!

My X doesn't like the cold mornings and takes a while to wake up. Poor Baby! I think it needs a thermal blanket for the night hours.

I have mine plugged into a heater block so it stays warm while im parked... but for the moments when im out and about i use the remote start to warm up my X prior using!
