Android Central Question

Hello. On my Samsung S4 I have been having a problem with the Install button. When I wanted to install an Apk package on my phone the Install button didn't work. When I clicked on it nothing happened. The application which I need from there is important. It's not only that Apk which is not Installing, all of them are not. The cancel button works fine but the Install button is not.

I researched a little about this problem and the answer was to pause screen adjustment apps but I don't have an app like that at all. I came here to see if anyone can help me

Thanks

Welcome to Android Central.

You are talking about APKs like they were downloaded as a file. Where did you get these APKs?

Typically when discussing installing apps people reference the Play Store, Amazon App Store or the Galaxy Store but there are a lot of issues with downloading random APKs from the web. They may not be compatible with the device. I feel like a Samsung would warn of this when making attempts to install. I also feel like it would warn if a permission was needed like, Install from unknown sources, but you have mentioned neither. Are seeing these warnings? The worst thing is they could be unchecked, unverified and possibly malicious.

Without more information about the APKs there really isn't much advice we can offer without making random guesses, of which there are too many to try and cover.

Keep in mind - this is a device released in 2013 and last updated to Lollipop...

Could be lot a reason why a APK for a app u trying install won't work , one could be to high of a version or low of the APK you trying install , like mentioned above as a outdated Andriod version your on can be compatability issues.
