don't know, would save original file, by copying to sd card or add .bak to name, then try other file
see what file permissions are before changing, you will need a file manager with root options, i like root browser.

there is something about the wpa_supplicant located in /system/bin

Thanks sd_shadow I can't solve with this, it seems the wi-fi/bluetooth module is broken.
I've flash another custom rom and I'll use my Droid 4 without wi-fi.
