Android Central Question
Very Specifically. I need to see that a text message has come in, so I want it to ring, full volume, in case I'm in a loud room and then press a button through my pocket (Such as power) to mute it.
However unlike an actual phone call, the power button does not mute a text message notification. So if it happens at a bad time, and I deem the text message not important, I have to sit in a public area, while my phone screams at everyone.
I've searched high and low, and found multiple threads regarding this, with no approved answers at all. At this point I'll happily take a 3rd party application, or downgrade my android version entirely. I heard it worked before Oreo perhaps? I am not sure.
