How to obtain a ROM for the "German" version of the M9 camera edition.

I have a "new" M9 camera edition. When I purchased it, I didn't know it could not be updated with M9 downloads from the USA site. When I setup the phone it worked fine, but but showed an update as being available. I updated. Performance sucked ever since (15-20 seconds to open a app or get web access). I was told by HTC US support that I need a fresh ROM from Germany, but would not help get the ROM. HTC Germany does not have a download page. I contacted them via email to ask for the ROM. They will not provide it to me and suggested I update next time I visit Germany! Can anyone on this forum help? Thanks
