How to open 2014 Moto X (the leather one)

[AC Question]

Dropped it, cracked the screen really bad, but it still worked so i used it for a while before it fell out of my crappy 5 inch deep pockets from about 2 1/2 feet onto my wooden floor. Didn't make anymore cracks but the screen only shows a couple of lines of orange pixels. I managed to blindly turn it off, and I've taken it apart(partially, I dont have the right size screwdriver) What might be the cause of this, so that I can more quickly solve the problem. Is the screen actually broken, or is there a connector that I could simply reattatch for a quick fix(unlikely, but it doesn't hurt to ask)? I'm currently out of a job and low on cash, so a glass+lcd/digitizer replacement is out of the picture.
