How to open my phone when I have forgotten the privacy protection password

I took out the SIM,now it requires the privacy protection password to unlock

Which device?, if its Samsung you have more of a chance without factory reset , if its other then factory reset.

if you still have the sims, reinsert it and disable the protection.
