How to partition data?

I'm new to android and have been trying to search for how to put certain apps or music and pictures into the sd card.

Also what widgets should I keep on internal memory?

Your help would be appreciated.

Widgets should NEVER be installed to the SD card (if it's at all possible).
Make a folder on your SD card for music/ pictures and then point your music player or choice to that folder. Go into your camera app and change the save location to memory card.
As for apps on the SD card, that seems to be a point of contention so I'd check out the forums for that topic. I have no need to put apps on mine so I never paid attention to it.

It's not immediately obvious, how do you create a folder on the sd card? Would it be possible to load my photos straight to the sd with the camera?
