How to re-add the shortcut that brings up my app drawer?

Hey, on my pixel 2 XL's home screen used to be a little app button with 4 little dots on it. This would bring up another screen with all my apps like a shortcut. Can anyone tell me how I can re-add this shortcut or button? I'm not sure what its called exactly and can't find a setting for it..

Photo for example, that little grey icon with 6 dots (Had 4 on my phone).

You're either going to need a different launcher, like Nova Launcher or Action Launcher, to get that button or a widget so that you can map that open-app-drawer action onto a version of that button. The new launcher route is easier, and you'll be able to switch between Pixel launcher and another launcher in Settings > Apps.

I don't recall my Pixel 2 XL ever having that shortcut, was it an option you had previously enabled that is now gone?

It's got to be from a third party launcher. That's straight up old school there. I suppose there could be a widget or app you can get that does it. But there's no search bar so it's not the pixel launcher.

It's Google now launcher. Had to carry over from old phone. Don't think you can install that anymore
