How to read Google articles in dark mode

On my fold 4 at one time I did something with developer options that gave me a pop up to be able to read any articles on my Google feed in dark mode. The feature initially transferred to my fold 5 but has disappeared for whatever reason. I've got dark mode enabled but when reading articles at night I really miss being able to read the whole article in dark mode. Can anyone point me in the right direction with instructions on how to enable that again? Thank you!!!

Dunno if it's still there, but the dev options setting would have been "activate force dark". If the google feed opens in Chrome, then activating dark mode for chrome in flags may help. type chrome;//flags into the search bar in chrome to get to the flags menu, then search for the word "dark".
