How To Reboot a Frozen Epic

Just tried it to be sure; and thank you so much! I've been looking for a workaround to always having the pry the back plate off and (briefly) remove the battery. As "tough" as the phone is built, I felt that I would eventually snap some part of it if I did it too much!

Now why couldn't they just include that in the manual? It's not too much more complicated than resetting a frozen iPod (at least the first-generation Nano that I have).

thank you been looking for a way to do this too .. haven't had my phone free on me , but with experience from the pre on rebooting i wanted to be ready.

Quick Soft Reset

I did a quick search and didn't this on the forums. Great if you already know it, but if you don't, this is how to perform a quick soft reset (a la the 3 finger salute like ctrl+alt+del in windows).

Power button + Camera Button + Volume Up button

Now I can stop breaking my cases (the notches wear out) to get to the battery to reset my phone.

Thank you for the tip - I did post this a couple months ago however, so I've merged your thread with the existing one.

You probably already know this, but if your case is a Sprint case, it is warranteed for a year...already had both mine and my wife's cases replaced.

I saw this over at XDA but I don't think I've see it here. If your phone locks/freezes up, instead of pulling the battery you can hold: up volume + camera + power buttons. Should work every time.

Nice alternative to pulling the battery when you screw up flashing something the wrong way and lock er up! hahaha

Awesome. Glad this was brought up. Not very often i have to reset like that, but nice to know for the near future! Thanks!
