I have somehow added a bunch of alarms in the clock but just cannot figure out how to remove them. I have searched the forum but found no hits. I expect I am in for a big 'DUH!' moment but would appreciate any guidance about how to remove unused alarms. Thanks!

Welcome to Android Central! If they're alarms from the stock Clock app, then open your App Drawer, select Clock, tap the alarm clock icon at the upper left, and tap the garbage can icon for any of the alarms you want to delete.

Hello again Forum,

So, I thought I opened the clock via B.diddy's instructions but I do not see a garbage can icon to delete the surplus alarms. This is the standard clock from the apps. Any guidance would be appreciated - thanks.

I don't have the "garbage pail" icon either. Long press on the alarm you want to delete. Option to "delete" should appear.

Good advice. I can't remember if that's how it worked in Android 4.3 (I've been referencing my 2013 N7 with Android 4.4).

Problem solved! The long press on one of the alarms suggested by Sherri caused the garbage can icon to appear and pressing it removed the alarm. Thanks everyone - really appreciate the guidance.

Thank you. Holding/pressing the alarm for 5 seconds or more, then it highlighted. Guess what? The trash can symbol appears. I can now delete the 6 alarms I didn't need! ;) :D

So, there was a widget that somehow set an alarm (Gadgetbridge). To remove the notification, I went to time settings, unchecked network time, set the time manually to the future, then enabled network time. Notifications are gone from status bar and lock screen.

The pressing for five seconds brings up the delete option, but it seems to requite a very deft prodding of the screen on confirm to get it to actually do anything. It has taken me a good five goes to rid myself of garbage alarms.
