How to remove an Ear phone icon

My phone is unable to make or receive calls because of an earphone icon

Turn off your Bluetooth. Unplug anything in the headphone jack.

Check the earphone jack - there may be something stuck in it, making it think that an earphone is plugged in. If not, the jack is probably bad and has to be replaced.
