Is there anyway to revert to the software on the note 2 the way it came out of the box? This multi-window auto rotation bug is annoying. Do we even know if it WILL get fixed?

There is a bug that has been attributed to the last major software update (multi-view) where the screen will get stuck and won't auto rotate it - people have been complaining about this on forums.

Is there a way to remove the update?

I've never had this issue. Do you have the Smart Rotate turned on? I've also turned off multi-view, don't know if that makes a difference.

No smart rotate is not turned on - there are threads about this issue on various sites including this one. So I know it's not just me who has the problem. I just want to know is there a way I can remove the update or should I just go return my phone?

Dont know if it helps but i use an app called ultinate rotatation control and it uses the accelerometer to deternine screen position. It will also force rotate your home screens and any other app if you want it to. Guess thats why i nver have issues with mine.

Returning your phone is not going to help, the update will eventually and not too long in the future, force you to take it.

Had anyone called Samsung about this?

Couple things you can try, you can reflash your phone with Kies. I don't know how to do it, but Samsung told me about it the other day. If you have an AT&T Device (Warranty) Center in your area, they will reflash it for free. If you don't know if you have one or not, call 611 and ask. Generally Device Centers are "private" and not listed under AT&T.
