AC Question

After i lock my a5 (2017) thru power button then press it again it will prompt for ur passcode or FPS to unlock after that when u try to lock it again using power button thats the time when you see the padlock icon in the bottom center of the screen tellin u to swipe screen to unlock...my lock screen is FPS and number code...please help the FPS and number code are useless if swipe screen are enabled...

Have you checked to see if you have Smart Lock enabled and that a trusted device/location is not present? Also check the time that your phone should lock itself after pressing the power button (you can select it so that it locks immediately).

yup and it is not enabled and i change it to immediately but then again the padlock is still there...when i open it thru FPS (fig 1) and then lock it again...afterwards (fig 2) i can still lock it when you press the padlock button but when you swipe the screen it will open without using FPS or the passcode...my screen lock type is Password and FPS

Did you find the solution to your problem or are you still searching for it?
I know the solution. If you're still struggling, just ask me ^_^

There's no problem in that screen. If you swipe the screen it will bring you to the number code. It's not going to unlock. That's normal. My S7 has that text too and if I swipe it brings me to the number pad.

I have Samsung A5 (2017) and it had the same problem. S7 and A5 are different. Besides, I've already found the solution for it.

After you entered "Setting":
#1 go to "Lock screen and security"
#2 click on "Smart lock"
#3 first enter your security password and then click on "On-body detection"
#4 turn it off
I wasn't being suspicious. I was just talking to the person who asked for help and not to anybody else.
Anyways, here you have it. I hope it helps.

Anyway for future reference, if you have an answer to a question, post it so that not only the person who asked can see the answer, but anyone else having trouble can Google it and one of the links will be to this post. So more people will benefit.
