How to remove the icons on the home page?

On my HTC One M8. Can someone tell me how i can remove the time displayed on the top right hand corner of my home page. Right next to the battery indication. Or better yet how can i remove everything from the top of the screen. The wifi signal strength indicator, the battery level indicator and the time.

Welcome to Android Central! One solution is to install an alternate launcher like Nova Launcher. Not sure if the option to hide the Notification Bar is available in the free version, or if you'd have to pay for the full version.

If you have a live wallpaper or widget that shows the time and battery, then those indicators in the notification bar become superfluous.

When you're on the home screen maybe, but not inside apps, which I assume would be where the majority of use is taking place.

Here's what I do.
Minimalist Text App is awesome.
That barcode is my indicator. Completely free. If you tap it I have it launch power app.
