How to remove Verizon Cloud linked contacts from phone

I have my Google contacts list up to date and accurate. I recently got a new S7, and my Verizon Cloud backed up contacts were loaded in. Now it's a mess. How can I delete just the Verizon linked contacts? I can do it manually but there are 7000 of them. Thanks!

Welcome to Android Central! If you go to Settings>Accounts>Verizon, do you see Contacts with a checkbox? If so, uncheck it, then see if the Verizon contacts go away.
