I accidently deleted over 200 contacts on my phone. How do I have it restore it back from google? I think it is trying to sync the delete to Google but an error comes up saying it is having trouble. I can't figure out how to restore?

even if its deleted from Google server its fine. you can restore it

go here https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#contacts

click More-->Restore

Yes I know that but I can't figure out how to get the note 3 to re download them? I need to tell the note to do something to get them again. I also have an error in the sync for contacts on the note under Google because it said I deleted over 200.

I figured it out. I had to delete the Google account from phone and set it up again so all syncs again from fresh. Should be an option to restore parts vs doing what I had to do

you don't have to delete the account and set it up again to get the contacts. you have to sync the contatcs again
to sync go to settings-->Google-->[your account]-->menu-->Sync

Yes but if I had deleted the contacts and then do as u say and select sync it wouldn't sync from google to note but would first sync from note 3 to Google. I then would have to go to Google desktop and restore. However the bigger issue is that the note 3 was giving an error on sync because I had deleted 250 contacts and it wouldn't even sync the Google contacts. Thus when I deleted the account it solved that bug. Thanks

I accidentally delete a contact from samsung mobile jong and never had an account at Google and Samsung. How I can somehow recover?

You can go to your Verizon online account and manage contacts there as well (if you happen to use backup manager..)

I synched contacts, then wiped the phone because of stability issues. Now when I synch contacts again I get nothing. What am I missing?

What if you got a new phone and want to restore your contacts?? Because I did this and it doesn't show Any of my contacts that i had before!! :(

I also got a new phone after I lost my previous one, please help on how I can get my contacts back

Did you use Google contacts? If so, just sync contacts with your Google account and you should be good to go

I have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus (1st gen) At first it wouldn't let me sync the contacts so I turned off and on and nothing happened. So I removed and added the account back and when the account came back all my contacts were gone and I still can't sync. Turning the phone off and on doesn't restore the contacts. They do exist in google but not the most updated version. HELP

Anyone who has a Google account that has synced their contacts with Google but can't....DO THIS:

Get on a PC and go to your Gmail and click on contacts.

Click on MORE.

Click on EXPORT.

Keep Google CSV format checked.

Click EXPORT.

This will download your contacts into a CSV file. It will either be in your default downloads folder if using chrome or your designated folder using explorer. Get this file to your phone. There are many ways.....Google drive or Dropbox is the easiest. Put the CSV file in your Gdrive. Open Gdrive with phone, tap the CSV file, follow prompts, and now your contacts will be on your phone.

Usually a delete of your Google account off your phone and then re-signing in fixes the sync problem but you might have to remove account, reboot, then re-sign in to get it to work.

Would it be any offline method? I can't activate my phone till I get another SIM card, that's awkward.

You can move the CSV file to an SD card and place that into your phone. Then in your contacts app, go into settings and import contacts and point to the SD card. Tap the CSV file and you're good to go.

where did you have them backed up to? Do you have a gmail account and are your contacts there? we need a little more info. What is your main email account.

If you bought your phone from a major carrier store they may be able to help.

I'm not an Android user and don't know much about them, but every phone I've owned will backup to. Computer if plugged in.
My BlackBerry automatically backs up when I plug it in, or whenever it's connected to the home wifi.

I'm using that logic to assume that if at any stage the phone was plugged into a computer then some if not all may have been backed up there.
Fingers crossed that it does that, and those who lost their data had plugged their phones into the computer.
